Heathrow: growth to emerging markets helps set passenger record

A big rise in traffic to emerging markets helped Heathrow set a new record for annual passenger numbers. In 2015, the west London hub served almost 75 million passengers, up 2.2 per cent on the previous year. Increase in passenger volumes to areas such as China (18%), Latin America (8%) and Middle East (6%) helped the airport post a record-breaking year.
